A very young talented athlete who played in the soccer team of Megara Augusta, Serie B of 5-a-side football, who died together with another young man in a terrible accident that took place on Catania-Syracuse in Sicily.

Giuseppe Armenio, called Peppe, he was happy with his teammates for the recent promotion to Serie B of Megara (coached by coach Pietro Armenio, father of nineteen-year-old Peppe). Giuseppe Armenio was much appreciated, he was considered a talent that could reach the top flight. To the sporting successes Peppe joined the scholastic ones, he had obtained his diploma a few weeks ago at the Arangio Ruiz Higher Institute.

The dynamics of the dramatic accident. Nineteen year old Giuseppe Armenio was in the car with the 22-year-old Gabriel Fazio (also died in the accident) and a thirty-year-old who was driving (the only survivor, is hospitalized in a prognosis reserved for the Muscatello hospital in Augusta). The three young people were on board a BMW 4 Series traveling towards Catania. The car skidded, overturned and went off the road beyond the guard rail. The impact was terrible, the car was destroyed. An investigation has been opened on the causes and the dynamics by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Syracuse, which investigates for road homicide.

The thirty-year-old risks being entered in the register of suspects. The city of Augusta (known for the important petrochemical industrial center of Priolo and for the port structure) shocked by the death of the two very young people.
