But it is with his second feature film, What Women Want – What women want, that his name has come to international prominence. What is the story about? We are in Arkansas: Louise Elizabeth Sawyer and Thelma Yvonne Dickinson are very good friends. Louise is a waitress at a fast food restaurant and is in an unfulfilling relationship with Jimmy Lennox. Thelma is a housewife and is married to Darryl Dickinson, an oppressive and superficial man who neglects her and often leaves her home alone.
