550 hires by 2025, new car recycling center

Coming in Piedmont job opportunities in automotive sector with the assumptions that Stellantis will make for the opening of a new hub in Turin.

This is a dedicated car recycling hub and it is estimated that it will require the recruitment of 550 personnel by 2025.

The new hub for auto parts recycling will arise in Mirafiori and will be inaugurated in 2023, to then go up and running within the next two years. The announcement was made by top management during a recent meeting with local Turin institutions. The pole dedicated to the circular economy and sustainability that Stellantis will launch in Turin will be able to generate hundreds of hires.

During the meeting, the company also illustrated the further projects planned for the next period. Specifically, it is the production boost expected for Fiat 500 Bevfor which the aim is to fine-tune 90,000 vehicles per year, and the new production of gearboxes for hybrid engineswhich will be launched in 2024 as a joint venture with the Punch Powertrain.

The employment return that will be generated by the two new productions in the program is not yet quantifiable, while it is expected that, thanks to the launch of the car recycling center, Stellantis will create in Turin 550 jobs by 2025.


Most likely, the new hires that Stellantis will make in Turin will be aimed at different profiles, both technical and operational. The activities of the new hub will in fact concern the dismantling and reconditioning of vehicles, and the recycling and regeneration of car components. As requested by the trade union representatives, Stellantis will be able to partially use resources already employed in the Mirafiori factory, with the aim of reducing the use of layoffs. However, for the coverage of specialist roles, the company will also perform new entries of the necessary professional figures.


Stellantis is a joint stock company born in 2021 from the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot SA It specializes in the production of automobiles and in the offer of services for sustainable mobility. It controls 16 well-known car brands, namely FIAT, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot, Ram Trucks, Vauxhall, Free2move and Leasys. The company has its registered office in Amsterdam, manages industrial activities in over 30 countries and is present in around 130 markets. Listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, NYSE and Euronext, Stellantis offers a wide range of vehicles, including luxury cars, SUVs, small cars, commercial vehicles and pick-ups as well as services related to the financial sector, assistance and spare parts.
