A building fire in downtown New York

According to the American journalist Alex Weprin, in the building next to the headquarters of Fox News Corp. there was a major fire in New York. He provided information about at least 10 fire engines taking part in the action.

According to a service statement, the fire broke out on the 10th floor of a 49-story building on West 47th Street in Manhattan. 20 units and 78 firefighters reacted and took the situation under control within an hour.

Initially, it was reported that no one was injured. The latest reports say about seven victims. Five people were hospitalized, two were treated on the spot. The details of their health are unknown.

Numerous photos and videos showing the fire appeared on social media. They were immortalized in clouds of black smoke, visible from many points in New York.
