A 12-year-old girl disappeared on her way to school last Wednesday in Saône-et-Loire. The gendarmerie launched a call for witnesses and opened an investigation into a worrying disappearance.
The teenager took the bus from La Chapelle-de-Guinchay on Wednesday morning, heading to Mâcon, where her college is located. She disappeared after exiting the vehicle and has not reappeared since.
Informed by the young girl’s mother, the Saône-et-Loire gendarmerie launched a call for witnesses. When she disappeared, she was dressed in a white short-sleeved t-shirt and dark blue Adidas jogging pants, and was carrying a gray Eastpak backpack.
Furthermore, an investigation has been opened into a worrying disappearance. If the criminal trail is not currently favored, the authorities fear that the teenager will have a bad encounter.
According to investigators, cited by The Public Good and the Journal of Saône-et-Loire, the missing woman is “accustomed to the facts but presents worrying signs regarding her physical integrity”.
The schoolgirl has already run away twice in the past, before being found in other departments, a source close to the investigation told BFMTV. She had lost her cell phone during her last runaway.
When she disappeared on Wednesday, she had neither cell phone nor means of payment.
