The Batman, Zoe Kravitz: My Catwoman Might Be Bisexual
Selina Kyle aka Catwoman is one of the main characters, as well as one of the most iconic, of the Batman universe.
Since the role has been entrusted to the interpretation of Zoë Kravitz, we can say that Catwoman has received a nice infusion of new life.
The Batman is one of this year’s unmissable titles, available on Sky Primafila. The film was released in cinemas two months ago, on March 3, enjoying enormous success.
In early March, just before the film’s theatrical release, Kravitz revealed that he had portrayed Catwoman as a bisexual character, a treatment that already featured in a 2015 DC Comics series.
But this is the first time that the character has been portrayed on screen with a non-heterosexual orientation, which makes this Selina Kyle from the Matt Reeves-directed reboot even more interesting, inclusive, less stereotyped and more real.
The film
The Batman chronicles Bruce Wayne’s early years as Gotham City’s lone vigilante. The Dark Knight played by Robert Pattinson is caught in his second year of mission, while patrolling the streets of the corrupt city in which he lives. The film tells of how much corruption has infiltrated officials and politicians, which is why the masked hero will be able to rely only on himself, as well as a few trusted allies such as Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) and Lieutenant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) .
Suddenly a killer will set himself the goal of destroying the crème of the crème of Gotham, implementing this plan with a series of bloody ruses to say the least. Batman will find himself having to investigate the slums of the city, thus arriving at the characters of Selina Kyle / aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot / aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro) and Edward Nashton / aka the Riddler (Paul Dano).
