A new teaser trailer finally announces the date

Based on the Neil Gaiman comic, the series will arrive on Netflix in August.

On the occasion of the first day of the Geeked Week 2022, Netflix announced that The Sandmanadaptation of the acclaimed comic of the same name written by Neil GaimanSara available in streaming from 5th August. The reveal is accompanied by a new, long teaser trailer.

Described as a rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend intertwine seamlessly, The Sandman follows Dream (played by the actor of Sweetbitter Tom Sturridge), the one who oversees the realm that mortals visit when they sleep, as well as those under his influence, as he tries to repair the cosmic – and human – errors made during his long existence.

The clip shows many of the numerous other characters that populate the universe of the series, including Johanna Constantine (Jenna Coleman, Doctor Who); Lucienne (Vivienne Acheampong, The Witches), female version of Lucien from the comics; Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste, The Good Place); Wish (Madison Alexander Park, Cowboy Bebop); John Dee (David Thewlis, Harry Potter); and Corinthian (Boyd Holbrook, Narcos). In the cast we also find Charles Dance (Game of thrones) in the role of Roderick Burgess; Stephen Fry (Bones) by Gilbert; And Gwendoline Christie (Game of thrones) of Lucifer. We also know that Patton Oswalt (AP Bio) and the veteran of Star Wars Mark Hamill voices will be given to Matthew the Crow and Merv Head-of-Pumpkin, respectively.
