A new version of “Bonnie and Clyde” starring Megan Fox and Tyson Ritter

A new version of the classic from 1967 is being created. The new movie is to be called Johnny and Clyde, and contrary to appearances, it is not Megan Fox and Tyson Ritter who are to play the famous criminals, whom in the first version of the film Bonnie and Clyde played by Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty.

Known from The deadly body or series Transformers Fox will play the role of the leader of a criminal organization, and Ritter, the leader of the pop-punk band The All-American Rejects, will play the role of its bodyguard. The Fox character runs a casino that has been targeted by a pair of serial killers. Shooting is already underway in Rhode Island, with Tom DeNucci and Chad A. Verdi behind the camera.

The 1967 film is not the only pop-culture reference to the story of a famous criminal couple to date. In 2013, a miniseries was made Bonnie and Clyde, and in 2019 – a film The Highwaymanwhich depicts a criminal search through the eyes of two Texas rangers.

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were involved in criminal activities in the 1930s. At first they were petty thefts, but with time they moved to robberies and, finally, to murders. They were caught in a police ambush and shot in 1934.
