At the Journalist’s House in Warsaw, on November 22, actress Danuta Stenka will receive the Irena Solska, awarded by the Board of the Theater Critics Club of the Association of Journalists of the Republic of Poland. This is the Polish section of the International Association of Theater Critics. The distinction was awarded “for outstanding acting achievements”.
As we read in the justification, “the award for Danuta Stenka is an expression of recognition for her contribution to the flourishing of acting, to which she contributed with her creations at the National Theater and TR Warszawa. Her artistic courage, innovative approach to the challenges she undertook resulted in achievements that have already entered to the history of the Polish scene “. The patron of the award, Irena Solska, is one of the legends of Polish theater. In the past, this distinction was awarded to, among others, Danuta Szaflarska, Anna Seniuk, Grażyna Barszczewska and Dorota Kolak.
Ridley Scott’s new film about the world of fashion with a crime story in the background evokes great emotions. Lady Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, who ordered the murder of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci. On November 26, “Dom Gucci” will enter our cinemas. See one of the scenes from this production:
I threw myself into this world because she looks nothing like me – said Lady Gaga at the world premiere in London. The cinematographer for the movie “Dom Gucci” is Dariusz Wolski, who has been cooperating with Ridley Scott for many years. The film is a story about a fashion dynasty, stunning luxury and family business, the finale of which was marked by crime.
Director Ridley Scott says of his latest film that it is above all a fascinating family story: “The Gucci dynasty was almost an Italian royal family in the fashion industry and contributed to its demise. Undeniably, it is extremely interesting.”
The film also stars Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci, Jeremy Irons as his father Rodolfo, Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, Al Pacino as Paolo’s father Aldo Gucci and Salma Hayek as Pina, the clairvoyant and confidante of Patrizia.
On Saturday, November 27, the premiere of the play “Trumpet to listen” will take place at the Stary Theater in Krakow. It is based on a novel by Leonora Carrington, a painter, sculptor – a cult representative of surrealism and feminism. By adapting it, Agnieszka Glińska and Marta Konarzewska show how difficult it is to meet oneself, being entangled or entangled in the social system of existing roles and rules. The cast includes, among others Anna Dymna, Ewa Kaim, Dorota Pomykała, Anna Radwan, Szymon Czacki, Zbigniew W. Kaleta and Jerzy Trela.
