A passion for communicating and telling transformative stories: Faculty of Social Communication – A new generation of journalism graduates

On a sunny day filled with joy and pride, 42 undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of Social Communication – Journalism received their professional degrees, achieving a new milestone in their lives.

A new generation of social communicators and journalists has reached a significant new milestone in their academic journey, reaping the rewards of their hard work, dedication and perseverance. From the moment he entered our study building, he had a passion for communication and journalism in his heart. He has demonstrated an undeniable thirst for knowledge, a relentless curiosity to explore the world, and an unwavering courage to tell stories that make an impact.

Today, we are celebrating not only their graduation, but also the beginning of a new chapter in their lives as communication and journalism professionals. In an increasingly interconnected world, you have the important task of being the bearer of truthful and accurate information. We face complex challenges in our society, from misinformation to lack of access to information. But we are sure that with their training and their moral values, they will be ready to face these challenges and make a valuable contribution to our country.

In the face of it, Eliana María Alzate Tabares, who currently works as Founder and Consultant at Florencia and is an outstanding graduate of our alma mater, said that “Authenticity is the key to success and success is the definition that every Life is not a race, it is a music festival that we all are enjoying.
