From December 1, 2021, barriers will be removed from sections A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica. This means changes in the method of payment for the journey on these road sections. Drivers will have the choice of purchasing a motorway e-ticket or using the e-TOLL PL or Autopay application.
From December 1, 2021, there will be a change in the toll collection system for passenger cars and motorcycles on the toll sections of the A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica motorways, managed by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. “The e-TOLL system will replace the Manual Toll Collection System in force until November 30, 2021, and the passage through the toll collection points will be without barriers” – we read on the website of the Ministry of Finance.
That is, drivers charge for traversing sections of the highway A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica they will no longer pay at the toll booths, but by buying a motorway e-ticket or transferring geolocation data using the e-TOLL PL application, Autopay or OBU / ZSL devices.
Importantly, entering the motorway using the e-TOLL lane without paying the toll will result in a breach, subject to a fine on the driver or the need to pay an additional fee. A fine may amount to PLN 500.

The motorway e-ticket will be available for purchase in the e-TOLL PL TICKET application (to be available in Google Play and App Store). The application will generate a confirmation of the purchase of the motorway e-ticket in the form of a PDF file. The e-ticket will also be available from the partners of the e-TOLL system.
“You can buy a ticket in advance if you provide the registration number of the car, the motorway section and the planned start date and time of the journey. The ticket will be valid for 48 hours from the indicated date. If you have changed your plans, you can return it before the declared start time of the journey” – MF explained.
e-TOLL PL and Autopay
In addition, it will be possible to pay the fee via the e-TOLL PL application, which can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store. To use the application, you must register in the Internet Customer Account in the e-TOLL system. “In the application you will pay the toll and top up your account. The application provides geolocation data and must be turned on all the time during the journey” – we read in the release.
Drivers will also be able to use the Autopay application. “Autopay, thanks to the integration with e-TOLL, allows heavy vehicle drivers to pay tolls on state roads since the end of September. Since then, work has been carried out to make the solution available to light fleets and individual customers. In mid-November the process was successfully completed. “- we read in the release.
When the vehicle approaches the gates, Autopay sends a push message, signaling that a ticket will be purchased in a moment. After receiving it, the customer has 3 minutes to cancel the transaction, after which the application assumes that the driver has decided to travel. The payment for the motorway section traveled is charged automatically from the card after the end of the journey. It is required to run the application.
As announced at the end of November this year. Autopay will also make it possible to purchase a motorway ticket in advance on the ebiletautostradowy.pl website.
It will be possible to buy a ticket at petrol stations and at motorway passenger service points. When buying it, in addition to the information identifying the vehicle and a specific motorway section, you also need to indicate the date and time – when the ticket will be valid. However, the list of partners has not yet been presented.
Until November 30 this year. You will be able to pay for the journey on sections A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica by collecting a traditional ticket at the toll station.
