The former This is Us star plays a scammer who unexpectedly falls in love with a CIA agent.
Now it’s official: Milo Ventimiglia will not stay away from generalist TV long after the conclusion of This is Us. Hanged in the shoes of loving husband and father Jack Pearson in the family drama that ended after 6 seasons on NBC last May, the actor will return to TV – this time on ABC – with the new series. The Company You Keep (above you see it in first picture taken from the same). The network of the alphabet, in fact, has decided to officially order the first season of the drama that we will see soon, presumably in midseason.
The plot of The Company You Keep
Written by Julia Cohen (Legion, The Royals), The Company You Keep is based on the Korean series My Fellow Citizens and tells the love between scammer Charlie (Ventimiglia) and undercover CIA agent Emma (Catherine Haena Kim, Good Trouble), born after a night of passion. The two are professionally on a collision course, but they don’t know it yet. While Charlie searches for a way to get out of “family business” forever, Emma is on the trail of the vengeful criminal who is holding Charlie’s family by exploiting the debts he has contracted. All of this forces both of them to come to terms with the lies they have told in order to save themselves and their families from dire consequences.
The rest of the cast
