This year’s jubilee Four Hills Tournament is a real disaster for Kamil Stoch. In the first two competitions – in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen – the leader of the Polish team was 41 and 47 respectively. It is already known that in Innsbruck he will not improve his achievements.
Adam Małysz: Kamil Stoch is getting tired
The 34-year-old will want to forget about Monday’s qualifying as soon as possible. Stoch jumped only 114 meters, which gave him 59th position and no promotion to the Tuesday competition. Apart from him, all Poles won the qualification – Andrzej Stękała was 18th (122.5 meters), Piotr Żyła 26th (117 meters), Paweł Wąsek 32. (118 meters), Jakub Wolny 34 (119 meters), and Dawid Kubacki 36 . (115 meters).
Stoch’s jump was commented on by Adam Małysz. – We have already given our opinion as a union, he needs calm training, stabilization. And more, not one day. Gets tired. I don’t know what decision the staff will make now, he commented.
The qualification for the third competition of the 4-Hills-Tournament was won by Ryoyu Kobayashi after a jump of 126.5 meters. Jan Hoerl (129 meters) was second, and Killian Peier (127.5 meters) was third. The longest jump was made by Slovene Lovro Kos (130 meters).
