After Jean-Claude Van Damme and Megan Fox, Travis Scott could land in the next Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat 1, the twelfth installment of the legendary series of fighting games, arrives on September 19. This imminent release does not prevent NetherRealm Studios from continuing to release announcements concerning the different playable characters in the game.

After announcing a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin playable through the character of Johnny Cage and the interpretation of the character of Nitara by Megan Fox, it is Travis Scott who could arrive.

Simple skin or playable character?

Nothing official has yet been announced by NetherRealm Studios but there is still one character left on the roster. Mortal Kombat 1 to be revealed, and Travis Scott would be directly linked to it. The rumor appeared in May, at the same time as certain others which announced the arrival of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Megan Fox. The last piece of the puzzle should therefore be La Flame, but to interpret which character?

Many fans are thinking of a return of Kai, a playable fighter notably in Mortal Kombat 4 (1997) and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (2006). In the same way as Megan Fox, Travis Scott could lend his voice and his features for the comeback of this somewhat forgotten character. There is also the possibility that Travis is only a “Kameo” character, that is to say a fighter whose role is to simply assist players during matches.

Remember that the possible arrival of Travis Scott is not that surprising, he who maintains very good relations with PlayStation and who is notably a playable character in Fortnite. It remains to be seen what NetherRealm Studios will actually announce, but all indicators are green.
