After making an “L” with his hands at Virada Cultural, the Public Ministry of São Paulo is in favor of suspending Ludmilla’s cache
ludmilla got into trouble for a simple gesture made during his show at the Virada Cultural de São Paulo. The singer used her hands to make an “L” for the audience and the act was seen as public support for the presidential candidate Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
The request, made by councilor Fernando Holiday (Novo), is being analyzed by the Public Ministry of São Paulo, which backtracked after saying that there were not enough elements to confirm the accusation. According to the prosecutor who signs the document, Eloisa Franco, “there are several elements that point to a deviation of purpose in such a contract that should have a cultural purpose“. It is worth mentioning that any political manifestation at the Virada Cultural is expressly prohibited, since it is an event with public funds.

According to the prosecutor, it is possible to see strong signs of “breach of legality, because the current context of the tests suggests that the signings carried out disguise an apparent showmice“. She says that the purpose of the event is to be cultural and the “L” made by the artist is out of the contract.

Ludmilla defended herself at the time saying that her own name starts with the letter “L” and that at no time did she dedicate any part of her show to former President Lula. The singer’s fee was R$ 222,000, the third largest in this edition. If Holiday’s accusations are accepted, Ludmilla will have to return the amount to the city hall.
