Age of Empires 4 and 2 announced for Xbox Series X | S and One with release date – Nerd4.life

The announcement was in the air, but now the official has arrived: Age of Empires 4 and Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition they will come up Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. The definitive edition of the second chapter of the strategy series will be available on consoles starting in January 31while for Age of Empires 4 the date is a generic 2023.

Today Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition appeared in the databases of the ESRB and PEGI, the classification bodies of the USA and Europe, thus anticipating the official announcement. Similarly, the Xbox Series X | S and One versions of Age of Empires 4 were also in the air for some time, considering the clues from the Xbox store.

According to the details on the official Xbox website, Age of Empires 4 and 2: Definitive Editions have been reworked to be played with controllers and an AI has been included to help make resource management efficient and intuitive. In any case the two games they will support mouse and keyboard also on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. There will also be cross-play with the PC version, but it will be completely optional, given the differences between the two platforms.
