Legia Warsaw has not been in such a crisis for years. Subsequent failures meant that she landed in the relegation zone. The club would like to get the club out of trouble, former football player and coach of “Military” Aleksandar Vuković.
Seven league defeats in a row – the last time the legionaries had such a fatal series in 1936. Marek Gołębiewski, who replaced the dismissed Czesław Michniewicz, has not changed the team yet, so the media are constantly speculating who could take over the “Military”.

Vuković would gladly play the role of a firefighter. The Serb revealed that he heard voices – mainly fans – calling him to return to Łazienkowska Street.
– I know it’s mostly speculation. Activists have their own thoughts when it comes to the position of the coach. Although, hypothetically, I know that regardless of the bitterness I feel about the way they split up, I would leave my pride aside and be ready to help the club that gave me so much, “Vuko” told mozzartsport.com.
Vukovic’s return would be quite an event. In fact, it could be anytime as the 42-year-old has a valid contract.
– I have a valid contract with Legia until the summer of 2022, so I would not impose any additional financial or other conditions. I would have a request related to people who are still in the club with whom I would not like or be able to cooperate – he added.
Vuković was a footballer of Legia Warszawa in 2001-2004 and 2005-2008. His achievements include two Polish championships, one Polish Cup and one Polish Super Cup. In 2015-2020 he worked at Łazienkowska as a trainer in various positions (including assistant, temporary and first trainer). In the 2019/2020 season, he won the Polish championship.
