Alice Cooper spoke about the accusations against her colleagues in one of the last interviews. He confessed what he thought about Manson and Depp.
At the end of February, Alice Cooper released his 21st solo album “Detroit Stories”. As part of the promotion of the material, the musician appears in the media and gives interviews more often than usual. However, journalists also raise more controversial topics in their interviews than the artist’s new album.
Alice Cooper on the accusations against Manson and Depp
In Cooper’s interview with NME the musician was asked about his thoughts on the latest scandal related to Marilyn Manson. The singer’s ex-partners accused the controversial musician about bullying and sexual exploitation.
Alice Cooper reacted calmly and answered the question in a diplomatic manner:
Weird thing about this Marilyn because I know him. When we toured together, we got on well. I have never noticed such a furrow in him, as long as it actually exists. I always take my word for it – the charges remain charges.
Cooper also spoke about another colleague who is also struggling with the accusations of his ex-partner. Johnny Depp heard allegations regarding domestic violence against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Alice Copper says she doesn’t know Depp from this side.
We are best friends. I’ve never seen him touch anyone with a finger. He is one of the gentlest people I know. All his former girlfriends and wives say the same. That’s why it’s so hard for me to believe that he suddenly turned into a monster. I know this guy – I’m on tour with him all the time. He is one of the gentlest and least harmful people I have ever met.
The musician emphasized that he knows Depp much better than Manson, and that what happens in the controversial musician’s bedroom is a complete mystery to him.
