Johnny Deppas we reported earlier, on Sunday evening he appeared briefly at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022 in the role of the broadcaster’s iconic mascot, the astronaut better known as MoonMan.
The actor’s face was digitally superimposed on the astronaut’s helmet floating on stage, where he jokingly declared himself available for various engagements in the most diverse celebrations, from weddings to birthdays to bar mitzvahs. During the evening the actor then commented ironically «You know what? I needed a job».
For the star it was the star’s first public appearance in three months of the notorious defamation trial he recently won against ex-wife Amber Heard. However, it appears that her appearance at the event was not welcome from everyone.
Amber Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquezhas in fact lashed out harshly against the actor and against MTV itself and the organizers of the Video Music Awards, guilty according to him of having given prominence to a man of whom he has no esteem, to put it mildly.
Shortly after Depp’s surprise appearance later in the evening, the actress’ younger sister reacted to the event’s Instagram story by posting a message in support of sister. Here we see her referring to the evening with the acronym ‘DVMA’, where ‘Domestic Violence Music Awards’ is a clear reference to the events that saw the most famous female relative as protagonist. Whitney Henriquez’s comment reads:
«MTV you are disgusting and clearly desperate! I really hope that none of the people who made this call have daughters..».
You can see HERE the comment in question.
Henriquez then published a much more substantial message on her Instagram profile in support of his sisterwhich we translate to below followed by the original post:
«Still stand by your side, little sister. Yesterday, today and tomorrow I will always be proud of you for standing up for yourself, for testifying both here in Virginia and in the UK, and for being the voice for so many who can’t speak up about the things that happen behind closed doors. We knew this was going to be an uphill battle and the cards were stacked against us. But you took sides, she spoke regardless. I am honored to have testified for you, and I would do it a million times because I know what I saw and because the truth is always on your side. I’m sorry that wasn’t reflected in the decision made by this jury, but I will never give up on you, or anyone on your side. Forever by your side..».

It hasn’t arrived yet no official reply by Johnny Depp and his entourage nor by that of the MTV Video Music Awards.
