AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 - there are more information about RDNA 2 cards for less demanding playersThe AMD RDNA 2 architecture has proven to be very successful. After many failures and numerous experiments, the Reds finally created efficient graphics cards, which in addition are not very power-hungry. It is a pity that their good disposition is disturbed by the current market situation – the systems are practically nowhere to be found, and if they appear somewhere, their prices are really staggering. So gamers are in a bad position and it looks like the only option is to hunt for used units or wait for new, cheaper models that might be more readily available. It is possible that the situation will be resolved by the Radeon RX 6500 XT and RX 6400, which got loud quite recently. Today, their specification hides much less secrets.

Both upcoming Radeons are expected to make their debut in the first quarter of 2022, and the RX 6500 XT should be the first to hit the market.

AMD Radeon RX 6400 and Radeon RX 6500 XT with 4GB of GDDR6 memory – new information on low-end and entry-level graphics cards

According to VideoCardz, the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT will receive a Navi 24 core with 16 CU units equipped with 1024 stream processors. There will also be 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM (64-bit bus) with a bandwidth of 14 Gbps on board. The graphics card should be relatively energy-efficient and the manufacturer is to recommend that the power supply has a power of 400 W. So it looks like an interesting budget unit for playing Full HD is being prepared, but of course the Ultra settings in each new title should be rather forgotten .

Availability of graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA is falling, and prices are going up. Radeon RX 6000 models already cost an average of 201% MSRP

The AMD Radeon RX 6400 will be an even less efficient unit. The card will also be based on the Navi 24 core, but it is expected to have only 12 CUs, which will translate into 768 stream processors. The RX 6400 model is also to receive 4 GB of GDDR6 memory (64-bit, 14 Gbps), but for smooth operation it will not be necessary to connect an additional power cord – the energy provided by the PCIe slot is enough, so the TDP will be lower than 75 W. Both upcoming Radeons with Navi 24 are expected to debut in the first quarter of 2022, and the RX 6500 XT should be the first to appear on the market. Just remember that this is only unofficial information – we still have to wait for more details.
