André Martins will become a new player of Hapoel Beer Sheva, as reported by TVP Sport, confirming previous reports from Israeli media.
Even before leaving for the preparatory camp, Legia Warszawa informed André Martins that he would not receive a new contract and that he could look for a new employer. The current one expires on June 30, 2022.
It turns out that the agents of the Portuguese were aware of this and were not idle, because they managed to find a new club quite quickly. This is what Hapoel Beer Sheva will be.
The 31-year-old is already in Israel, as reported by Piotr Kamieniecki from TVP Sport. There he will undergo medical tests, and if they are successful, he will sign a contract.
The contract will be valid until June 30, 2023, and under it, the Portuguese will be able to count on annual earnings of 350,000 dollars.
It turns out that Hapoel’s scouts were watching the central midfielder while he was still representing Olympiacos. Now, in turn, it was his colleague from the Polish champions’ dressing rooms, Josué, who had to recommend Martins.
A graduate of Lisbon Sporting, he came to Łazienkowska in September 2018. In total, he played 128 matches for the team from Warsaw, in which he scored two goals and recorded six assists.
The new employer of the Portuguese is the runner-up in the Israeli league.
