Definitely the match announced as the hit of the queue did not disappoint, although on both sides we had to deal with an unequal game. In the first game, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie completely dominated the Polish champions. Facundo Conte and Uros Kovacević were practically right in the attack. In turn, the hawkish game was unstable. During the set, the guests achieved an advantage of several points, which they did not give up, winning 25:17.
There was an unexpected twist in the second batch. It was Igor Kolakovic’s charges who had enormous problems. They were especially visible in the party. Later, there were also errors in the attack and a good block game on the side of the hosts. When the Jastrzębie players were leading by 17:10, it was rather certain that they would not be able to recover the victory in this party.
It also happened. In the second set, the last point broke the bit of bitterness, where Facundo Conte crossed the line in the service area. The hosts triumphed 25:17.
The hosts at the beginning of the next part of the game followed the blow and after a while they were leading 5: 1. Igor Kolaković sounded the alarm and had to take time to stimulate his charges to act. However, they organized a festival of errors and did not reduce the losses. The team from Jastrzębie controlled the game, leading 15:10.
Then the situation changed again like in a kaleidoscope. Zawiercian remembered great moments from the first set. The guests played brilliantly with a block, and Kovacević and Conte fell into a trance again in the attack. The end of the set was stunning. When the trade got even, we then had a point-for-point game. Ultimately, it was the guests who won 27:25 after fighting for the advantage. Dawid Konarski finished the third game with an ace.
The lost set, despite a considerable advantage, made the volleyball players of Jastrzębski Węgiel very angry. Andrea Gardini’s players picked up the pace in the middle of the set, busily taking advantage of their rivals’ mistakes. A lot was achieved by entering Jan Hadrava on the pitch in place of the colorless Stephan Boyer. Hadrava was throwing his rivals away from the net with a great service. At one point, the guests were completely lost and the hawks jumped back strongly. They won the fourth set 25:16.
Tie-break was the decoration of the meeting. There were times when both teams were playing point for point. That is why the block of Miłosz Zniszczoła on Jan Hadrava turned out to be the key moment, which gave Aluron a two-point advantage (14:12). Zawiercianie found themselves on the highway to victory and did not leave it, winning 15:13. The team from Zawiercie still suffered only one defeat this season. Facundo Conte was deservedly chosen as the MVP of the match.
