Although the current situation prevents many people from planning trips abroad, not all of them resign from traveling. However, people going abroad should properly prepare for the trip – the mObywat application will help them.
Are you getting ready to go abroad? You should prepare an EU COVID Certificate
In the current situation, travel abroad has lost much of its popularity, which benefits the domestic tourism industry, especially since local trips are prompted by the possibility of using the Tourist Voucher. People who have not yet redeemed them can do so by the end of September 2022. As a reminder, each child under the age of 18 is entitled to a voucher worth PLN 500, and for a child with a certificate of disability – PLN 1,000.
However, the Tourist Voucher can only be used in the country – it cannot be used to pay for hotel services abroad. And more and more people decide to go abroad. In this case, the EU COVID Certificate, which can be downloaded in the mObywat application, will come in handy.
The digitization of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister informs that the latest version of this program has just hit the App Store and Google Play. It is numbered 2.4.1 (588) for iOS and 3.1.1 (18.119) for Android, respectively. Thanks to the update, you can supplement the EU COVID Certificate with additional QR codes that correspond to each of the doses of vaccination against COVID-19.
Depending on the IT system used in a given country to verify EU certificates, we present the last or penultimate QR code. That is why it is very important to perform three simple tasks before traveling: update the mObywatel application, refresh the certificate using the latest version of the mObywat application and read the rules applicable in a given country.Adam Andruszkiewicz, secretary of state in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister
To download additional QR codes, update the mObywatel application and then run it, select the EU COVID Certificate (display the last downloaded QR code) and touch the “Refresh” button in the bottom menu of the EU COVID Certificate. That’s it – when you follow these steps, all currently available QR codes will be downloaded.
After the update all QR codes obtained as part of the primary vaccination against COVID-19 and after the booster dose will be available in the application. It is worth recalling here that from February 1, 2022, the EU COVID Certificate will be valid for 270 days, not 360 days, as before.
At the same time, the Digitization of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister informs that the codes obtained as part of the supplementary dose (i.e. for people with immunity disorders) will not be available under the EU COVID Certificate.
