ABOUT The collaboration between these two artists has been gossiping for a long time. Ladies are privately good friends and their fans. As it turns out, it was close and the joint song of Tinashe and Ariana would see the light of day.
Last Friday, Tinashe’s fifth studio album had its premiere. The album entitled “333” was promoted by the pieces “Pasadena”, “Bouncin” and “I Can See The Future”. You can hear him in full HERE.
Tinashe talked about working on 333 in the Main Pod Girl podcast. The artist revealed some interesting facts. She revealed, among others, that in the initial plans, her latest album was to include the long-awaited collab with Ariana Grande. The singer was supposed to appear on the song “X”.
“Okay, to be completely honest, at first I really wanted Ariana Grande on the ‘X’. I sent her this song and she really loved it, she wrote me messages with compliments (…). So I was excited and offered a collab ” Tinashe revealed. “It was sometime around Christmas, she had plans to get married, generally a lot was going on in her personal life. She let me know that she wasn’t working on music at the time and that she was taking her time off for the rest of the year. She said that she would love to record a song together and that I would get in touch next year if I had anything for her. I understand it 100%, but I won’t lie, I really wanted Ariana Grande in “X”“.
Tinashe also sent an “X” to Rina Sawayama. Eventually, the album featured a version with American r & b singer Jeremih, which you can listen to below.
