AT THE EUROPEAN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP ARIANNA BIANCHI BREAKS THE TABOO, FINALLY COMES GOLD

Capriasca (Switzerland): On Friday the situation of Italy in the medal table at the European Mountain Bike Championships reserved for the Beginners and Students categories, those that the Union Europeénne de Cyclisme calls UEC MTB Youth European Championchips, was as follows: 3 silver and two bronze medals. The goal, at least the hope, was to bring home the coveted gold hoping for the Allievi who ran today, Saturday 6 August, on the final day of this continental review hosted for the first time by Switzerland.

Four races are scheduled, all run on a 4.6 km long cross country track. The first year students thought about opening the dance at 10:00, followed two hours later by the girls. At 2:00 pm the second year students took to the track and at 4:00 pm the 16-year-olds took care of concluding this European championship.

The day started well as the Azzurri Federico Brafa And Ettore Fabbro they brought the spoils of the medals to seven. Taking home a silver and a bronze, however, it did not start very well because the gold and the Czech did not arrive Krystof Bazant it went like a motorcycle gave more than two minutes to our boys.

Overall among Allievi 1 we were certainly the strongest nation with 5 guys in the top 10 and ten in the top 20. With the success of Bazant the Czech Republic has further increased its tally, reaching even 5 golds.
