The Russo brothers, directors of Avengers: Endgame, talked about Spider-Man’s farewell to the Marvel Cinematic Universe during an interview.
Avengers: Endgame scored one of Spider-Man ‘s last MCU appearances, and the film’s directors talked about the issue in an interview.
“It was not easy to have that character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige worked hard to complete the operation,” the Russo brothers said.
“There were ups and downs, every time he came to our office we reminded him how important it was to have Spider-Man and he would say ‘Ok, I’ll make something up’, then go back to work.”
“He was looking for a way out, he expected that at any moment we would say that we no longer needed the character because it is clear that it took so much effort to make two such big companies collaborate.”
“The mere fact that it is still successful, although for a short period of time, should make us happy.”
