In the national dispute there were four first places, a gold dance award and the classification for the Universal Dance Latin American, which will be held in Córdoba-ARG in November. In the continental dispute, the Tibagiana girls won a gold, two silver and three bronze medals, in addition to the award for best national choreography.

WITH ADVISORS – The dancers from Tibagi did well in the disputed Universal Dance Brasil, one of the biggest dance competitions in Latin America. In Florianópolis, the students of the Tibagi Municipal Dance School (the only public one to participate in the event), coordinated by the teacher and choreographer Ana Karina Cruz, won several first places and the vacancy for the Universal Dance Latin American competition, which will be played in Córdoba-ARG.
According to Ana Karina, Universal Dance Brasil was played in two moments. On Saturday (18), the girls participated in the national selection and on Sunday (19) in the international selection.
In the national competition, the Municipal Dance School of Tibagi took four first places: Lana Contemporânea, Afro Jazz, Rihanna Jaz and in the solo Lyrical Jazz of the dancer Gabriely Bueno; in addition to second place with the choreography Que Calor, in freestyle.
Tibagi also won the Gold Dance award, which consists of US$140 in discounts for the dance teacher and dancers at the next international event. In addition to the classification for the Universal Dance Latin American, which will be held in Córdoba-ARG from November 16 to 21, 2022.
In the international dispute, the Tibagianas girls took first place in the Rihanna Jazz; second in Afro Jazz and Lyrical Jazz solo; in third place in Lana Contemporânea and in Estilo Livre. Tibagi also won the award for best national choreography.
These various awards are a huge achievement for the dancers, the teacher, and everyone who helped them get there. The girls themselves carried out several actions to raise funds to be able to participate, in addition to the support of the Tibagi City Hall, through the Department of Education and Culture, which provided transportation for the Universal Dance Brasil contest in Florianópolis.
