The fever towards the EA shooter series begins to be felt.
A few weeks ago, more precisely on the occasion of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, the new Battlefield 2042 was shown.
The EA branded the first-person shooter seems to be a title with all the credentials to breach the hearts of fans, ready to dethrone his “majesty” Call of Duty Warzone.
Just today the American publisher and DICE confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will support cross-play, but not between all platforms, which however increases curiosity towards the title.
A curiosity that can also turn into perplexity, as emerged a few days ago relatively a feature of the game in question, which could turn into a double-edged sword.
In view of the exit Battlefield 2042, according to EA is thinking of releasing free of charge one of the best and latest in the series.
The report comes from the always knowledgeable Tom Henderson, an industry insider, and leaker also known for his scoop on the Battlefield franchise.
On Twitter (via ComicBook ), Henderson reported that fans of the series planning to buy Battlefield 1 this week shouldn’t.
Apparently, in fact, the game will be downloadable for free, presumably for a limited time, next week.
Henderson, however, disappointed console gamers, pointing out that the special offer will only be valid for PC users, although he is not 100% sure.
We just have to wait for an official confirmation from Electronic Arts, which at this point should not belong in coming.
We also remember that Battlefield 2042 will only be online and extremely larger than its predecessors, as confirmed in our preview of the Doha map.
But not only that: still speaking of the game arenas, Daniel Berlin – game design director – has made it known that particularity of the maps really promises great things?
