Bayern Munich will cut wages for players who have not vaccinated against COVID-19, “Bild am Sonntag” reports. Former club boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stated, not knowing if it was true that such a step would be understandable.
In Bayern, where Robert Lewandowski has performed since 2014, among the unvaccinated are: Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Cameroonian Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. All four were therefore sent to quarantine, which prevented the players from participating in matches or training. “Bild am Sonntag” also informs about the fifth unvaccinated player to avoid quarantine so far. His name was not given.

According to journalists, Bayern’s management has been discussing this for a long time, and on Thursday, a decision was made to withdraw the salaries already paid to players for weeks spent in isolation. In this way, the club bosses want to increase the pressure on people who do not want to get vaccinated.

Kimmich, who spoke openly about his doubts about the vaccine, had to pause, inter alia, in the game between Bayern and Augsburg on Friday, they lost 1: 2. He had to go into isolation because he was in contact with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19.
If what the Bild newspaper reports are true, it is a sign that the club is starting to react. This will not be liked (Kimmich – PAP). This debate is slowly starting to annoy the team. Everyone has tried to somehow resolve the issue of not vaccinating, but so far it has failed. The coronavirus affects the entire team and the entire club, Rummenigge said on Sky Television.
