She’s really coming back – much to the beyhive’s delight! At dawn on Tuesday, 21st, exactly at 1 am, Brasília time, Beyoncé releases her newest single.
Titled ‘Break my soul’, the track is part of the album ‘Renaissance’ which arrives on July 29th. The announcement was made on the singer’s social media.
The album Renaissance
After causing the biggest cliffhanger on social media and removing profile pictures from all accounts, Bey announced the new album ‘Renaissance’. In fact, it is already possible to pre-save the work on the main streaming platforms and, according to the Apple Music listing, the project should contain 16 tracks.
Since ‘Lemonade’, this is the singer’s first unreleased solo album. According to Variety, the bet of the time will be dance and country, with contributions from Ryan Tedder, with whom she composed the hit ‘Halo’, back in 2008, and Raphael Saadiq.
It is also worth mentioning that there is nothing certain that the country songs will come out on a second album, since next month, the release of ‘Act 1: Renaissance’ is scheduled. With that, fans speculate that another project will come out in the future (and that is close, right?).
Finally, Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief of English ‘Vogue’, where the singer stars on the July cover, says that this is the most ambitious project of her career. “Instantly, a wall of sound hits me. Loud vocals and fierce beats combine and in a split second I’m transported back to the clubs of my youth. I want to get up and start dancing. It’s a song I love. Music that lifts you up, that makes you think about cultures and subcultures, our people past and present, music that will bring people together on the dance floor, music that touches the soul. As always with Beyoncé, it’s all about intention . I sit, after the wave, taking it all in.”
