Billie Eilish’s streak continues. “Happier Than Ever” started “very naturally”
Razor-sharp wit, observations of everyday life, secrets and escapades, all mixed up with observations about humanity and movement in the modern world. After the meeting with “Happier Than Ever”, the audience remains enchanted and moved by the new chapter in Billie’s work. The 19-year-old artist has never been so provocative, open and honest as on her second album.
The essence of the album, the cover and the color palette were inspired by the timeless artists Julie London, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee and the golden era of the 50s and 60s. The artist’s brother FINNEAS is responsible for the production, and the whole was recorded in a studio in Eilish’s hometown in Los Angeles . As part of the promotion of the album, Billie Eilish shared the behind-the-scenes material of the music video she directed for the title track from the disc:
– While recording the album, I had a lot of thoughts about myself and the events that I went through or that I could observe. The whole process came out very naturally, I am happy with it and I feel satisfied. Before, I felt under pressure almost all the time, full of fear and the feeling that I was not doing enough or that something was not good enough. I felt that I lacked talent. Now I have a lot more confidence. I also think that I had to work hard for it. The album was created in an ideal creative time for me. Everything went extremely easy, calmly and in a great atmosphere – said Billie Eilish in an interview with VEVO.
The seven-time Grammy Award-winning Billie Eilish will make her Disney + debut with the concert movie “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles” – scheduled for September 3rd. Robert Rodriguez and Patrick Osborne are responsible for directing the show. On the legendary Hollywood Bowl, Billie will perform the latest album in full, in order of the tracklist. Apart from Eilish, FINNEAS, The Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, The Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and the Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo will appear on stage. David Campbell is responsible for the arrangement of the orchestral parts.
