Global Citizen in the fight against the greatest global challenges of today’s world
Global Citizen is a global organization working to fight the greatest global challenges of today’s world and solve civilization problems, interconnected with climate change or poverty in the world. Global Citizen seeks to educate and mobilize citizens, corporations, and governments of the richest countries to act and collaborate to end extreme global poverty. As they write about themselves:
We are not asking people for money, but for taking action for the world’s poor. These actions can be as simple as tweeting, signing a petition, making a phone call, or sending an email. By taking action, Global Citizens are rewarded with access and tickets to our music festivals and other events around the world.
Global Citizen Live – 24-hour festival streamed from all over the world to all over the world
One of the last activities of the organization Global Citizen was to organize the next edition of a unique, annual festival with a galaxy of world stars, which was broadcast not only all over the world, but also from all over the world! The concerts were streamed from five different places in the world: the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, Central Park in New York, the square in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, O2 Academy Brixton in London, Sydney Opera House, as well as from South Korean Seoul and Nigerian Lagos.
The festival took place last weekend and lasted around 24 hours, and its aim was to unite the whole world in the fight to defend the planet and overcome poverty. Of course, during such a unique event there were also no less exceptional surprises and guest performances. Many of them happened during the concert of the British group Coldplay, who played her show in New York’s Central Park.

The British concert could not miss their latest single, which at an express pace also became a global hit. No wonder since Coldplay invited a South Korean boy band to work on it BTS, that is, one of the most popular representatives of the k-pop genre at the moment. The result of their meeting is a piece My Universe, announcing the ninth album Codplay, which will be released already October 15.
British band performed during the festival Global Citizen Live their latest hit in hybrid form by connecting online with the band BTS. However, this is just the beginning of the surprises Coldplay planned for his New York concert.
