Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ album has surpassed 3 billion streams

The album “Happer Than Ever”, by Billie Eilish, has surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify. It is the singer’s second studio album and was released on July 30, 2021.

Eilish wrote the album with her frequent collaborator, her brother Finneas O’Connell, who produced the album alone. The project is a self-reflection during the COVID-19 pandemic that served as a great inspiration for the development of the record.

Contains seven songs that were released in promotion of the album, such as “Therefore I Am”, “Your Power”, “My Future”, “Lost Cause”, “NDA”the title track and “Male Fantasy”. The first three managed to reach the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100; “Therefore I Am” was the most successful song on the album then “My Future” ranked 6th and “Your Power” in the 10th ranking. the animated video “My Future” was directed by Australian Andrew Onorato, and soon received comments from the Teen Vogue staff reporting that the song “shows the growth as Billie is looking at the world”.

the clip “Happer Than Ever” reached over 2 million views and premiered on July 30, 2021.

It is worth noting that, “Happer Than Ever” debuted atop the Billboard 200 as the second number-one album in the United States and topped the charts in 27 countries.

The record contains pop, rock, rhythm and blues, downtempo, techno, electropop and jazz-influenced elements, starting with an upbeat sound. “Happer Than Ever” builds heavily on Eilish’s rise to fame and the downsides that come with it. Upon release, the album received rave reviews from music critics for its stylistic, restrained production and insightful lyrics. During the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, the album and its title track received a total of 7 nominations, including Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Record of the Year.

Plus, there was even a Disney+ documentary titled, “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles”was released on September 3, 2021. Watch the trailer:

The documentary shows intimate performances of all the songs on the album in order of sequence, the show, which features animations and a dream tour of the singer’s hometown and aimed to promote the album. “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles”, received a nomination for Best Musical Film at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

To the delight of fans, singer Eilish will be on her fifth tour, titled “Happier Than Ever, The World Tour”will present in Europe, Oceania and North America in 2022.
