A few days before the trial began, Rob asked that the case be dismissed without prejudice because he felt it was not in the best interests of his five-year-old daughter, Dream.

Chyna’s attorney Lynne Ciani told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “Rob Kardashian should have thought about his daughter Dream before he filed his malicious and baseless assault suit. “Rob dropped the case on the eve of the trial, not because he suddenly wanted to drop the case ‘for his daughter’s sake,’ but because he knew his assault charges against Chyna were false. In other words, Rob’s avoidance of the grave consequences of an adverse jury verdict is why he dropped the case, not his alleged ‘concern’ for his daughter. Chyna will now seek relief from the court to ensure that Rob cannot re-file his case and make him pay for his substantial litigation costs,” he warned.

He previously said, “My love for Dream far outweighs my desire to pursue my claims against her mother in a public trial. Now that the court has ruled that there is enough evidence to warrant a jury trial on my assault allegation, for the sake of our daughter, I am dismissing the suit and focusing on my co-parenting relationship with Chyna.”
