José Quintanilla, Gabriel Castillo and Karen Tórrez will compete between this Thursday and Saturday in different international tournaments with the aim of achieving the minimum mark to qualify directly for the Tokyo Olympic Games, to be played from July 23 to August 8.
Quintanilla will participate in the selective Olympic Games, to be held in Lima, Peru. The mark A or B that he tries to obtain is in the 50-meter free test. Also attending the same event are Katherine Moreno (José’s sister) and Tomaso di Lernia, although they will look for brands for other tournaments.
For their part, Castillo and Tórrez will do it at the SYC International Grand Prix in Asunción, Paraguay. Castillo looks for the mark in 100 meters back and Tórrez, in 50 and 100 meters free.
Bolivian swimmers go to these tournaments because they are endorsed by the International Swimming Federation (FINA).
Iván Bernal, Estela Durán, Mateo Linares, Danna Lizárraga, Ignacio Pardo and Naira Roca will also compete in Paraguay, although they are not looking for brands for the Olympic Games
