It seems that the issue of ending Britney Spears’ tutelage is going in the right direction for the singer. The latest reports show that the father of the performer “Toxic” has filed a motion with the court in which he supports her desire to regain power over her own life.
Britney Spears’s father supports her motion to end guardianship
In an application filed with the court by Britney’s father, we read that the man supports the singer’s will to end guardianship and believes that she should get a chance to lead her life:
Mr. Spears once again emphasizes that he only wants the best for his daughter. If Ms. Spears wants to end her guardianship and believes she can manage her life on her own, Mr. Spears thinks she should be given a chance, says Spears’s father’s letter to the court.
Britney Spears’ attorney Matthew Rosengart said in a press release that the star’s father’s conclusion was her “legal victory” and “exoneration.” He added, however, that there is a bottom line to this – Jamie Spears is thus trying to avoid going to court for fear that it will completely ruin him.
It appears Mr. Spears believes he can avoid accountability and justice – including swearing – but just as we are in the process of evaluating his application (which was wrongly sent to the media before it was served on defense attorney), so will we. consider all possible solutions, Rosengart told the Associated Press.
However, it cannot be denied that this is a huge success for Spears and the entire #FreeBritney movement. The next hearing is scheduled for September 29.
