Brussels. Brutal riots in the capital following a protest against the restrictions

Several thousand protesters marched peacefully through the center of Brussels. They expressed their opposition to the ruling decisions. The demonstration ended in the district where the headquarters of the European Union is located.

In the vicinity of the EU building, a group of protesters in black hoods chanting “liberte” (freedom) began throwing stones at the police.

The services used tear gas and water cannons.

In November 2021, there have been protests over restrictions to combat the growing number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations caused by coronavirus infection.
