Revelation of the year, most listened to album and song… Brut spoke with French festival-goers from the Sziget Festival about their musical favorites of 2023.
This year, some listened to A2H, Timmy Trumpet, The Weeknd on repeat. Others, Georgio, Portugal. The ManLujipeka, Alix Perez, or even Virgo Ascendant. The album that the French festival-goers met at the Sziget Festival listened to the most in 2023? For some, it is the album of Petit Biscuit, for others that of MHD, XIX, “Josman’s latest album, which is a little nugget”, “the latest from David Guetta, which are effective”, Chromatica by Lady Gaga.
“I came mainly because it is the island of freedom”
For one of the festival-goers, his revelation of the year is Gazo. He explains : “I’ll say a name, they’ll all shout in comments for sure, I’ll say Gazo for his voice. OK, it’s not a revelation in the sense that he’s already been at the prime for a long time, but he has an incredible voice and for someone like me who is not from the rap world, it’s a revelation, well, this is my revelation of the year.” If many French festival-goers were present to attend David Guetta’s live, for others it is the desire to go on “freedom island“what does Sziget represent who brought them here. “I did not necessarily come for an artist.
