Cannes Film Festival 2022, unveiled the poster dedicated to The Truman Show
Vincent Lindon will choose from 21 films in the competition, the actor, 62, who starred in the 2021 winning film ‘Titane’, will be joined by eight fellow jurors: British actress and director Rebecca Hall, Indian actress Deepika Padukone , Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, Italian actress and director Jasmine Trinca, Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, French director Ladj Ly, American director Jeff Nichols and Norwegian director Joachim Trier.
This year, in the 75th edition of the festival, cult art-house directors and other protagonists of Hollywood cinema will compete. Among them Canadian horror master David Cronenberg, US director James Gray and French Claire Denis are in the running for the Palme d’Or. Many stars are expected to come to the red carpet to accompany their films. Kristen Stewart, Lea Seydoux and Viggo Mortensen are expected for Cronenberg’s sci-fi/horror ‘Future Crimes’; Denis returns with a Central American thriller, ‘The Stars at Noon,’ starring Taron Egerton and Robert Pattinson; James Gray’s film, ‘Armageddon Time’, is a story based on his New York adolescence which will see among the possible stars on the Croisette Anne Hathaway, Oscar Isaac, Cate Blanchett and Anthony Hopkins. Tom Cruise will next attend the world premiere of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, the sequel to his 1986 blockbuster, which is being shown after being delayed for a long time out of competition.
