Cédric Bakambu has made a decision! He returns to European football fields

Cédric Bakambu has reached a full agreement with Olympique de Marseille and will sign a contract with the French club in the coming days, says Fabrizio Romano.

The multiple representative of the Democratic Republic of Congo ended his four-year stay in Beijing Guoan several days ago and decided not to continue his career in other Chinese or Asian teams, because he wanted to feel the taste of competition on the Old Continent again.

The center forward played regularly for the aforementioned team, so he did not complain about the lack of interest from solid European clubs.

Among them, Olympique Marseille showed the greatest determination, reaching an agreement with Cédrik Bakambu at an express pace.

Fabrizio Romano argues that the interested parties have already agreed all the details of the contract and that any day the 30-year-old player will be associated with the team from Stade Vélodrome until June 30, 2024.

The acquisition of the Congolese by the French team is not good news for Arkadiusz Milik. The Polish representative had problems with regular playing in OM before the arrival of a strong competitor and now it will probably be even more difficult for him to regain the trust of coach Jorge Sampaoli.

For Bakambu, the fact of signing the contract with the team from Ligue 1 means returning to the local fields after nearly eight years of break, because it was there that he started his senior career in Sochaux.
