Château Miraval: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would have found an amicable agreement

Is the hatchet about to be buried? In 2022, Brad Pitt filed a lawsuit against Angelina Jolie for selling his share in Miraval Castle to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler. An action aimed at canceling the sale of the part he could have bought back. More recently, in July 2023, it was Brad Pitt’s turn to be the subject of a complaint for intimidation and illegal behavior on the vineyard. Despite this, the conflict between the two Hollywood stars could soon end, according to the Daily Mail. The English tabloid revealed on July 27 that an amicable agreement would be about to be found between the two movie stars about the property acquired in 2014.

The former couple would have agreed to mediation in order to settle their dispute, which would prevent the case from going to court. Angelina Jolie would have made it known that she was ready to participate in a meeting intended to find an arrangement about the castle. For his part, Brad Pitt would have appointed a “temporary administrator” within the wine estate, in order to ensure that the production of the wine of the estate, which is meeting with great success, can continue without incident.

“A provisional administrator” appointed to ease tensions

“Given the dispute between Nouvel LLC (controlled by Stoli boss Yuri Shefler) and Mondo Bongo LLC (controlled by Brad Pitt), Château Miraval and its director requested and obtained the appointment of a provisional administrator by the commercial court of Draguignan”. This court decision aims to “allow the company and its manager to continue to develop the activity of the estate (…) until the resolution of the said dispute, in the interest of Château Miraval, its managers, employees, partners and subsidiaries”, confirmed a French source to the Daily Mail.

The lawyers of Nouvel LLC would claim Brad Pitt 350 million dollars in damages.
