Christian Bale in Star Wars? Yes but only for one role

Christian Bale, class 74, is considered by many to be one of the best actors of his generation; Much appreciated for the Batman of him in the trilogy of The Dark Knight by director Christopher Nolan, he earned 3 nominations and won 1 Oscar for best actor for the film The Fighter. The actor, however, has stated that he has always had an interest in a particular role that concerns the franchise of Star Wars. These were the words of him on Deadline:

My dream was to play that stormtrooper which appears in the film by Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I’m sure the real nerds have seen that scene ad nauseam, the one where the soldier of the Empire accidentally bangs his head against the door jamb. All I ever wanted to have in Star Wars was bang my head against the wall and have a Star Wars costume.

After the teasing words, Bale revealed that he obviously would have liked to have a bigger role in the franchise as well and that he still owns some toys from the Star Wars movies since he was little.
