The ceremony, inspired this year by the synergy between the olfactory world and that of the seventh art, was held in the historic Odeon cinema in Milan and at the same time was first broadcast on the official Facebook and YouTube channels.

For the occasion, the short film Profumo di Premio of Fellini-inspired inspiration was broadcast, which reveals the behind the scenes of the award ceremony itself and sees the participation of the actor Alessandro Roia.

Also present in the room are important Italian and international noses, inevitable and timeless protagonists of the perfume universe: Luca Maffei, Paolo Cerizza, Cristian Calabrò, Maurizio Cerizza, Dahpné Bugey, Sonia Constant, Celine Barel, Violaine Collas, Cecile Matton, Michelle Moellhausen, Dominique Moellhausen, Oliver Riva, Emilie Coppermann.

The title of best perfume of the year, for women and men, was awarded respectively to Narciso Rodriguez For Her Musc Noir Eau de Parfum And Dior Sauvage Elixircrowned by the consumer jury with over 100,000 votes also collected in 2022 on the dedicated minisite.

Furthermore, from 30 May to 12 June, consumers will be able to participate in the instant win contest on the Accademia del Profumo Facebook and Instagram profiles to try to win the best perfumes of the year.

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum And Phantom Paco Rabanne instead, the protagonists of the best communication category, evaluated by a vip jury, made up of artists and professionals from the entertainment world: Giorgia Surina – actress, television and radio presenter, writer; Monica Sala – radio speaker, journalist, author; Giorgia Venturini – television and radio host; Silvia Caroline Schirinzi – content creator and writer; Gianluca Gazzoli – radio and television host; Rajae Bezzaz – radio and television host actress; Omar Hassan – artist; Virna Toppi – prima ballerina of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Samuele Briatore – writer, president of the Italian Galateo Academy; Stefano Guindani – international photographer; Giulia De Lellis – influencer and TV presenter; Marco Ferri – content creator, host and model.

The choice of the winners of the other seven categories was entrusted to the technical jury, made up of the executive committee of the Accademia del Profumo, exponents of retail, beauty journalists and bloggers.

The best olfactory creations, chosen through a blind selection process, this year are represented by Savannahs of Silk Salvatore Ferragamo Stories of Silkof the noses Emilie Coppermann And Aliénor MassenetAnd Laura Biagiotti Rome Man Green Swingwhich bears the signature of Daphné Bugey.

The category of the best made in Italy perfumes goes to Lily of the Valley Acqua Di Parma And Bulgari Man Terrae Essence. The best women’s packaging is instead of Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum and of Hermès H24 the male one.

In the field of artistic perfumery, the technical jury awarded three fragrances without distinction of gender: 1921 Gucci The Alchemist’s Gardenbest perfume collection exclusive big brand; L’Heure Verte By Killianbest artistic perfume affiliated brand; Aphélie Maison Trudonbest independent brand artistic perfume.

The best room fragrance award goes to Green Tomato Vines Jo Malone London The Townhouse Diffuser.
From 2021, a quality jury has assigned a new award, that of responsible perfume innovation, which this year goes to Rivières de Cartier Collection – AllégresseInsouciance, Luxuriance “For having adopted a vision of responsible innovation capable of combining the sustainability of design, packaging and formula, creating a fragrance with a lower environmental impact in an extra light bottle, refillable and separable into components”.
Still in the field of responsible innovation, Girl Rochas was also among the finalists – “For the commitment to integrating the sustainability of the formula, responsible sourcing choices in the production chain and reduced environmental impact of the materials used for packaging” – and Alien Goddess Mugler “For the pioneering vision of the importance of the environmental impact of packaging, concretized in a refillable bottle model that stimulates and promotes consumer awareness towards the sustainability of choices and behaviors”.

An applause – from the jury – to the rigorous approach of the companies in the sector in documenting declarations and claims, also in the final communication to the consumer, to the attention to the concept of innovation along the entire supply chain, to the commitment to reduce unnecessary packaging ; without forgetting the importance of choosing all the materials with which the packaging is made and the possibility of separating the individual components for their correct recovery at the end of their life: from the outer film, to the labels, to the materials of the bottle.

And Alberto Morillas for Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia have been awarded as creators of the perfume that has achieved the best sales results, in terms of value and volume, in the first six months of its launch on the Italian market.

An exclusive creation created for Accademia del Profumo by the historic Fornace Venini was given to each winner. The trophy, mouth-blown by the skilled craftsmen of the Murano furnace, is designed by the designer, as well as Art Director Venini, Michela Cattai. A real work of art, declined this year in rio green shades to evoke the color of the Venetian canals and thus underline not only the importance of eco-sustainability, but also the beauty of Italian landscape views.

New in this edition, the winning perfumes are also guaranteed direct access to the shortlist of finalists – in the category of the same name – of the newborn Imagine dei Profumieri Award. Promoted by the sector magazine Imagine, in collaboration with Fenapro – National Federation of Perfumers, the award will go to the products that most convinced those who work in perfumery every day: the owners and the beauty consultants.

Accademia del Profumo is not just cinema! The awards ceremony also arrives on the small screen: an appointment with the protagonists of the 2022 edition on Thursday 2 June, in the late evening, with a special episode of X-Style, broadcast on Canale 5.
