New openings: the novelties of autumn 2022
The very hot summer 2022 has been definitively archived, the trends arising from the fashion shows ofautumn winter 2022/2023 they are ready for large-scale distribution. For big brands and small cult brands, the time is perfect to inaugurate new ones shops, pop up store And temporary boutiques.
Like that of Bulgari who, while the relocation works are being completed, moves temporarily to via Gesù 4 in Milan.
Designed by the archistar Peter Marino, the temporary store is inspired by the golden age of Sweet life with marble, brass, colored carpets and mirrored walls. And the see-thorugh shop windows to dream even from the outside.
A corner of Paris in Milan
Between Haussmann stucco And vintage-style furnitureon the other hand, is inspired by hospitality charming of a classic Parisian apartment la new boutique of Longhchamp, located a stone’s throw from the Milan Cathedral. An environment in total harmony with the mood of the prêt-à-porter and accessories collections, including the recent bag models Box-Trot (also worn by Julia Roberts) And Le Pliage Re-Playmade of nylon recovered from the leftovers of past collections.
Sophie Delafontaine, Artistic Director of the maison, talks about the new space (which is added to the first boutique in via Spiga) exclusively on IoDonna.it:
A welcoming space, but with a design studied in detail. How was the idea of the new Longchamp Milanese boutique born?
Longchamp is a family business born right in the heart of Paris, for the new store we wanted above all a comfortable place to enter and feel at ease. We have therefore recreated the intimate atmosphere of a Parisian house: the table with the stools, the vintage-style armchairs to rest in the light of the retro chandelier … It’s not just about architecture, but about the art of welcoming people and creating a connection with them.
A perfect piece of furniture to experience the shop as a home environment.
The inspiration comes from the aesthetics of the 50s and 60s and is enriched with “warm” elements such as pieces of art, watercolors and potteries of high modern craftsmanship from various countries around the world. The set of lines, textures and colors best describes our DNA, which is based on creativity but also on know-how and excellent craftmanship.
What is the link between Longchamp and Milan?
It is an ancient liason that starts from my parents, they loved this city very much, its fashion, fashion shows and above all art. This gallery store is special, it’s like being on the Champs Elysées in Paris. But the same goes for all the cities where we have other stores: Rome, Florence, Portofino, Forte dei Marmi, Venice. As a family, we often came to Italy, attracted by this unique cultural climate, by the love for beauty and details. Moreover, many high quality materials, fabrics and leathers that we use also come from Italy.
A design curiosity about this boutique.
It is a team of in-house architects and designers, who work expressly and only for us. Many of the store’s accessories are chosen in the color nuances that best match the color / totem of the Longchamp maison: green. Here declined in the iconic green heritage representative of the maison, and the fluo that symbolizes energy, creativity and the future.
The design trends between baroque and futurism
Between flagship store of the latest generation there is also the one inaugurated by Moschino in the heart of Quadrilateral. An opening staged in Via della Spiga, with the set up en plein air of gilded frames and surreal style mirrors Alice in Wonderland. One style contemporary baroque combined with led lights and neon effectswhich is also reflected in the interior of the two-story boutique.
The other addresses not to be missed in Italy and in the world
Among the addresses to report, there is no shortage of hot spots for fashionistas outside the Lombard capital. Starting with Polo Ralph Lauren, which opened in the city center a Como and Kenzo Paris a Cernobbio, very close to Villa d’Este. But the news for shopping also abounds in New York.
In fact, during the last New York Fashion Week the pop up salon of The Attico designed by the Milanese architects of Studioboom. Following Kiton, the brand of sartorial excellence made in Naples, which opened its first womenswear boutique on Madison Avenue.
With minimal chic environments embellished by fine fabrics of the maison products exclusively in their own Biella wool mill. Also on Madison Avenue is the new Isabel Marant flagship store, a space with industrial accents And eclectic furniture in which the spirit is evoked once again parisienneseasoned with the canons of elegance typical of New York.
