CR7’s mother gets emotional with her son’s goals and delights fans

It was Cristiano Ronaldo’s two goals that brought his mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, to tears. As the player celebrated, the cameras ran to the stands and found Dolores celebrating a lot, between hugs and tears. Portugal beat Switzerland 4-0, at the Alvalade stadium, in Lisbon, for the second round of the League of Nations.

With the two goals, Cristiano Ronaldo reached 117 for the Portuguese national team, in 188 games. When scoring the second in the match, CR7 pointed to the stands, towards his mother. Fans soon reacted to Dolores’ display of affection.

CR7’s two goals were almost in sequence, at 35 and 39 of the first half. Besides him, William Carvalho and João Cancelo also scored. Portugal leads group 2 of the League of Nations, with four points.
