Harry Kane explained the difference between Tottenham and Bayern Munich during a press conference.

After 19 years at Tottenham, Harry Kane (30 years old) made a notable transfer to Bayern Munich, for an amount of 100 million euros accepted by Daniel Lévy. Since his arrival, Kane has adapted well to his new life, posting a good start to the Bundesliga season with three goals scored in three games, as well as an assist.

During his press conference ahead of a match against Ukraine, Kane compared the requirement levels between the two clubs. He said: “It’s definitely a different pressure to what I felt at Spurs. Of course we wanted to win everything at Spurs, but if you don’t win a few games it’s not a disaster.”

He also noted that Tottenham had missed the Champions League in two previous seasons, which influenced his choice to join Bayern Munich. Kane explained:

“I felt like I had to play the Champions League every year and fight for titles. Bayern Munich really gives me this opportunity.

Kane stressed that the pressure at Bayern Munich is such that the team must aim for victory in every match, even if there are positive results. He added :

“At Bayern you have the feeling that you have to win every game. We won the first two matches 4-0 and 3-1 and yet people were saying that people weren’t very happy with the way we played. “It’s part of being at one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
