At least twelve victims of the road accident that took place this morning on a highway north of Zagreb: a Polish coach, loaded with pilgrims headed to Medjugorje, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he went off the road and ended up on an escarpment by overturning. Eleven passengers died instantly, the twelfth died in a Zagreb hospital. Another 31 people were injured, many of whom are in serious condition. On the bus, which left yesterday from a town near Warsaw, there were 43 people, including two drivers. At the moment the causes of the accident are not yet known but the most accredited hypothesis is that of sleeplessness of one of the drivers: the man lost control of the vehicle just when facing a curve, as reported by the spokesman for the Croatian police Matko Muric.
