Cyndi Lauper to star in Prime Video’s The Horror of Dolores Roach

Variety lets us know that the music star Cyndi Lauper is about to return to TV in the series The Horror of Dolores Roach coming soon on Prime Video. The singer signed a recurring guest star role on the drama based on the podcast of the same name Aaron Mark and with the former star of Day to day Justina Machado hero.

The plot of The Horror of Dolores Roach

The drama of 8 episodes, of which Mark is showrunner with Dara Resnik, focuses on Dolores Roach (Machado), a woman who returns to a Washington Heights profoundly changed by gentrification after spending the last 16 years in prison. With only $ 200 and the clothes she’s wearing, her missing boyfriend, and her now-distant family, Dolores is reunited with a stoned old friend, Luis, who offers her room and board and a corner in the basement of his run-down shop – Empanada Loca. around the corner, all that remains of his previous life – where to earn some money by doing massages. The role of Cyndi Lauper and the rest of the cast

Lauper will play a woman who works as a mask at a Broadway theater and, in the meantime, also works illegally as a private detective causing problems for Dolores Roach.
