“Don’t let anyone tell you how to live or who to love.” It is with these words that one of the most anticipated Netflix films of July is presented to the public, Persuasion, a feature film based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austen with a surprising Dakota Johnson. Netflix today released the first trailer of the film where Johson shows herself in all her versatility as an actress, shaking off the prejudice that has accompanied her for years and that leads her only to the role of her in 50 shades of gray. Dakota, however, is much more than that and she proves it in the first images of Persuasion where she plays the role of an ironic, funny, intelligent, nonconformist woman who wants to give other women a message of independence in a world where women were told what to do, and above all, who to fall in love with. But let’s go into more detail about this new Netflix title and find out when we can find it on the streaming platform’s catalog.
Here the trailer for Persuasion
The plot of Persuasion
Anne Elliot is a young nonconformist with a modern sensibility who lives with the haughty family on the brink of financial collapse. When Frederick Wentworth, the charming young man she estranged years before her, returns to her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart and opening up to a second chance.
When Persuasion comes out on Netflix
Persuasion will debut on Netflix on July 15 in all countries where the service is active.
