Guerrilla Games and Sucker Punch celebrate the launch of Death Stranding with a couple of themed illustrations that mix the games of the respective teams with the title of Hideo Kojima.
Death Stranding has received the tributes of Guerrilla Games and Sucker Punch through two illustrations that show a sort of cross-over between the game of Hideo Kojima and Horizon Zero Dawn on one side and Ghost of Tsushima on the other.
It seems to be now a sort of tradition in particular for Sony’s first-party teams, as a similar thing happened previously on other occasions, such as the drawing that always depicted Aloy together with Geralt of Rivia and the various drawings made by the art director of God of War on Nintendo characters.
In this case, we see Aloy and Sam running together to “reconnect the world” and the Bridge Baby who sleeps protected by a katana, a clear reference to Ghost of Tsushima. Considering the proximity of Death Stranding to Guerrilla Games, which offered its Tenth Engine to Kojima Productions and put about 70 employees on the game, it is understandable that there is a particular connection between the two teams.
On a journey to reconnect the world!
